We use premium quality soy wax, which is vegan friendly and cruelty-free. Soy was has only been around since 1996 and is a vegetable wax derived from soybean oil. Soybeans are natural, renewable and biodegradable. We use silicone moulds as they don't contain harmful chemicals like phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA) and are more durable, lasting longer and not needing to be replaced as often, so they generate less waste than plastic products.​ ​​ To add shimmer and colour to our melts we use synthetic mica powder. Synthetic mica aims to replicate the effect and appearance of natural mica, whilst alleviating the negative or toxic minerals found in naturally occurring minerals.  As an ethical supply chain is often difficult to verify synthetic mica also negates any concerns around the exploitation of children and adults and abuse of their human rights in the mining of natural micas. ​​ Our fragrance oils are premium quality and paraben free.  We have full safety data sheets for all fragrances and all our products are CLP labelled accordingly. ​​ We source non-toxic, biodegradable and plastic free glitters.  We don't want to harm any ocean life.​ ​​ Whilst you will see other melts beautifully packaged in plastic /cellophane, plastic is harmful to our planet.  For this reason, whilst we haven't compromised on the look of our products, we use plant based packaging for our melts, as this is environmentally-friendly, 100% recyclable and 100% biodegradable.  Made in the UK, from vegetable starch, our bags conform to the EN1342 standard. They have been certified OK Biobased, and are suitable for composting!​ ​​ We use biodegradable kraft paper tape with solvent-free adhesive.  We look to use labels made from paper sourced from managed forests and printed with eco-friendly ink.​ ​​ Our cardboard packaging is made from recycled material and is 100% recyclable.  ​ ​​ The tissue we use is acid free.​ ​​ Our 'packing peanuts' are bio-degradable, as is our bubble wrap, which is made from recycled content.  The manufacturer says 'when exposed to sunlight, heat, moisture and mircrobes the bubble wrap will degrade down to the basic elements of CO2, H20 and Biomass.'
