OUR STORY
Fill Your Home With Feel Good
We are the Evans family from Bristol, in the South West of England, UK, close to the border with South Wales. We set up our small, artisan wax melt making company during the Covid-19 pandemic, because during lockdown we thankfully discovered the joy of a wax melt scented home.

From creating melts for our own use we have turned our passion into a business, lovingly creating strong-scented, long-lasting soy wax melts for wax burners.

Laura is our marketing expert. She is eco-aware and vegan. She has encouraged us to source vegan-friendly waxes, compatible colour, fragrance, glitters and packaging which are sustainable and kinder to the environment.

Caroline heads up production of our hand-poured snap bars and shapes. These are made in a large selection of popular and more unusual fragrances and designs, which stretch across a range of price points to suit all pockets. The wax we use is palm oil free, GMO free and vegan friendly. Everything we produce is small batch (very small), with an attention to detail and a guiding light of ‘do no harm’ to our planet. Because our products are made to order, we can make any product in any scent listed on our fragrance menu. And yes we do make a little extra as we go, to fragrance our own homes.​​

Chloe does our market research to ensure that we provide you with the products you want and for that reason we also offer accessories, so you can enjoy a sensational scent experience without having to shop around, or pay multiple shipping fees.

All our melts are CLP compliant. Rob is our regulatory and safety expert, ensuring all our products are informatively labelled with comprehensive information.

Our Team.
We are small, we are family run and don't outsource. We carefully select from UK suppliers for premium and sustainable soy wax and strongly fragranced, paraben free oils. We hand make bespoke melts to order and aim to fill homes all around the country with feel good.
WE CARE ABOUT OUR PLANET
Why We Make Melts is different - our credentials:

We use premium quality soy wax, which is vegan friendly and cruelty-free. Soy wax has only been around since 1996 and is a vegetable wax derived from soybean oil. Soybeans are natural, renewable and biodegradable.

We use silicone moulds as they don't contain harmful chemicals like phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA) and are more durable, lasting longer and not needing to be replaced as often, so they generate less waste than plastic products.

To add shimmer and colour to our melts we use synthetic mica powder. Synthetic mica aims to replicate the effect and appearance of natural mica, whilst alleviating the negative or toxic minerals found in naturally occurring minerals. As an ethical supply chain is often difficult to verify synthetic mica also negates any concerns around the exploitation of children and adults and abuse of their human rights in the mining of natural micas.

Our fragrance oils are premium quality and come in high quality PET bottles, or reusable glass bottles. We have full safety data sheets for all fragrances and all our products are CLP labelled accordingly.

We source non-toxic, biodegradable and plastic free glitters. We don't want to harm any ocean life.

Whilst you will see melts beautifully packaged in plastic /cellophane, plastic is harmful to our planet. For this reason we use plant based packaging for our melts, as this is environmentally-friendly, 100% recyclable and 100% biodegradable. Made in the UK, from vegetable starch, our bags conform to the EN1342 standard. They have been certified OK Biobased, and are suitable for composting!

We use biodegradable kraft paper tape with solvent-free adhesive. We look to use labels made from paper sourced from managed forests and printed with eco-friendly ink.

Our cardboard packaging is made from recycled material and is 100% recyclable.

The tissue we use is acid free.

Our 'packing peanuts' are bio-degradable, as is our bubble wrap, which is made from recycled content. The manufacturer says 'when exposed to sunlight, heat, moisture and mircrobes the bubble wrap will degrade down to the basic elements of CO2, H20 and Biomass.'
